It was time to plan a winter gateway and Aruba seemed like a good option given the non-stop flights from BOS but what really sold me was the Ritz Carlton Aruba
Let me just start by saying that a night at the Ritz ranges between $500 and $1000 but of course we don’t pay cash around here 🙂
Booking Ritz Carlton Aruba
Most Ritz properties can be booked using Marriott points which can be accrued by earning SPG points or signing up for the new Chase Marriott Card (Personal and Business)
Simon Mall ran a promo in December offering $1 Off Visa Gift card fees bringing the cost of one night to $132, down from $172. (60,000 Marriotts / 3 * $6.6)
Yep! a $1136 hotel night for $132 thanks for Manufacture spending. That’s 5 cents per SPG.
It Gets Better!
Thanks to Marriott’s free fifth night, the final cost for a five night stay was a whopping $528 ( that’s 80,000 SPG * $6.6)
I don’t do hotel reviews (I’m not good at it) but the Ritz met all expectations from the service to the hotel grounds. We got upgraded from an interior room to a club level. The view was gorgeous!
